Windmill in a rural field next to a canal under cloudy sky.

The name Horsey means 'Horse Island' and it is believed that Horsey was originally a stud or grazing area for horses. Horsey windpump is a windpump or drainage windmill and the structure a Grade II listed buidling. It has been repaired several times over the years, with the restored sails finally turning again in May 2019 for the first time since 1948.
